From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. ![]() ![]() Although I usually love multi-POV stories, each chapter wasn’t headed with the name of the POV witch and it felt like there was a bit of head hopping. This isn’t a higher star rating because I had an emotional disconnect and didn’t fall in love with the characters, which I can only put down to the multiple POVs. I’ll be honest, some of the racial elements didn’t sit perfectly with me, but I did love the LGBT storyline (no spoilers!). I think this could be a real TikTok favourite because it has LGBT+ relationships, racial diversity within the coven and strong feminist themes. I loved the way the story came together and the final third contained plot escalations and drama that kept me hooked. RATING: This was a funny, enjoyable read so I’m giving it 3.75 stars. I know that’s a bold statement…but it’s a hill I think I’d be happy to die on. ![]() It’s one of the most unique and powerful fantasy series written in the past decade, maybe of all time. Because if you’re here reading a review of the final Green Bone Saga book we’re going to assume that you’re at least somewhat familiar with Fonda Lee’s incredible fantasy world its fusion of crime stories, family sagas and magic its deeply realized politics its heart-wrenching twists and brutally shocking deaths. That said, anything from the first two books, Jade City and Jade War, is on the table for discussion, so if you haven’t read those books you may want to get on that. This review will be spoiler-free aside from some basic premise stuff, like the fact that this novel is spread out over the course of decades. ![]() It’s been quite a journey, and while I’m sad to see it end, Jade Legacyfeels like the perfect capstone to the trilogy. Fonda Lee’s tale of magic, family, and clan loyalty is the very definition of enthralling, from its first page to its last. This is especially true for a series as good as The Green Bone Saga. Leaving behind a world that has made a home in your imagination can be difficult saying goodbye to characters who’ve come to feel like old friends, even more so. It’s often a bittersweet thing to read the ending of a series. ![]() ![]() ![]() OL15917127W Page_number_confidence 78.99 Pages 290 Partner Innodata Pdf_module_version 0.0.15 Ppi 360 Rcs_key 24143 Republisher_date 20210713081132 Republisher_operator Republisher_time 552 Scandate 20210711190902 Scanner Scanningcenter cebu Scribe3_search_catalog isbn Scribe3_search_id 9780313387241 Tts_version 4. ![]() Access-restricted-item true Addeddate 03:04:39 Boxid IA40172703 Camera USB PTP Class Camera Collection_set printdisabled External-identifier ![]() ![]() Then, a close friend of Jekyll’s and Utterson’s suddenly falls ill.
